1.5 km はなんとか体力を残しつつ泳げるようになったが、やはり足が一番心配で、 泳いだ後はすぐつりそうになる。足がつって自転車は厳しいからなぁ。
あと、水温が高い方がスイマーズハイになりやすいことがわかった。 水温が低いと足もつりやすい気がするし、渡良瀬遊水池ってどの程度の水温なんだろう。 30 度くらいあったらいいが、さすがにないよな…。

Bash FAQ より抜粋。 compat31 は Bash-4.0 からみたい。
E14) Why does quoting the pattern argument to the regular expression matching conditional operator (=~) cause regexp matching to stop working? In versions of bash prior to bash-3.2, the effect of quoting the regular expression argument to the [[ command's =~ operator was not specified. The practical effect was that double-quoting the pattern argument required backslashes to quote special pattern characters, which interfered with the backslash processing performed by double-quoted word expansion and was inconsistent with how the == shell pattern matching operator treated quoted characters. In bash-3.2, the shell was changed to internally quote characters in single- and double-quoted string arguments to the =~ operator, which suppresses the special meaning of the characters special to regular expression processing (`.', `[', `\', `(', `), `*', `+', `?', `{', `|', `^', and `$') and forces them to be matched literally. This is consistent with how the `==' pattern matching operator treats quoted portions of its pattern argument. Since the treatment of quoted string arguments was changed, several issues have arisen, chief among them the problem of white space in pattern arguments and the differing treatment of quoted strings between bash-3.1 and bash-3.2. Both problems may be solved by using a shell variable to hold the pattern. Since word splitting is not performed when expanding shell variables in all operands of the [[ command, this allows users to quote patterns as they wish when assigning the variable, then expand the values to a single string that may contain whitespace. The first problem may be solved by using backslashes or any other quoting mechanism to escape the white space in the patterns. Bash-4.0 introduces the concept of a `compatibility level', controlled by several options to the `shopt' builtin. If the `compat31' option is enabled, bash reverts to the bash-3.1 behavior with respect to quoting the rhs of the =~ operator.

ここまで見ると、同じコードで全バージョン使えるようにするには、
shopt -s compat31 &>/dev/null とかやって、クォートで括ればよいのではと思う。

ありゃ、CentOS 5 と同じバージョンのはずなのに、結果が異なる。 しかも、compat31 がないので切り替えることも出来ない。なにこのカオス…。
念のため、SLES 11.0 も記載しておく。Bash-3.2 系だが、CentOS 6 と同じ…。

今朝、ftp.riken.jp が CentOS 6 をフライング公開した(?) という話を聞いたので、 まさかと思い、うちの ISO イメージを確認したところ、

ようやく CentOS 6 がリリースされたので早速 VMware 上にインストールした。
ISO イメージのダウンロードは、日本だと ftp.riken.jp が速い。
DVD から起動した際の画面が変わって、メニューから選択する方式になった。 まぁ、今までコマンドだったのがちょっと不親切と言えば不親切だよね…。 デスクトップは特に大きく変わりはなく。右クリックで GNOME 端末を出せないのが少し残念。

今週のクロス。ほとんど買い物とかだけど。

なんちゃってデュアスロン (バイク 40 km + ラン 10 km) してきた。シヌカトオモタ…。 まずいぞ、これにスイム 1.5 km を足すなんて、無謀としか思えなくなってきた。 体力というよりは、たぶん、足が持たない。あと 3 週間、足を重点的に鍛えるか。

しかし、なんというか、極限状態の方が、効率の良い身体の使い方を習得しやすいかもしれない。 足をかばいつつ、体力もできるだけ使わない走り方を探っていたら、ベストタイムだった。

見かけはゴマ団子。味はゴマをまぶしたココナッツクッキーという感じ？で意外といける。

お客さんは全員つけ麺を食べていたので、つけ麺の方が美味しい店なのかもしれない。

そういえば日曜日は、多摩川サイクリングロードのほぼ終点まで行っていたらしい。 道が見当たらなくなったし、20 km 超えたのでもういいかと思って引き返したのだが、 そういうことだったのか。 ちょうど片道 20 km 強で、往復 40 km なので練習にはもってこいだな。
しかしマラソンはあの距離を走るわけだ。いまだに信じられん…。

良くも悪くも期待を裏切らない櫻井節である。 理想論とも言いたくなるポジティブさ。
一方、キリンジはこう歌う。
「どうも深刻さが足りない、お前には」
溜息をついて叔父は嘆いた
「ボタンを掛け違えたまま年をとるのは恥ずべきことだ。」

この歌には「ボタンを掛け違えたまま〜」というセリフが 3 度出てくるが、 どれもネガティブな使われ方である。 ただ、そんなセリフを吐く人を自分も含めて、偉そうに、と思っているような流れなので、 実際にボタンの掛け違えについてどう思っているかは明らかではない。
…なんてことは実はどうでもよくて、オレが言いたいのは、 こんな歌詞どうやったら出てくるんだ… ということである。 メロディといい歌詞といい、一見現実的に見えてそうでない、 奇妙な世界観が最高の 1 曲。
ちなみに『For Beautiful Human Life』というアルバムの 1 曲目です。 このアルバムは個人的にはおすすめ。
